ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਲਚਰਲ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਰਾਇਲ ਚਿਲਡਰਨ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਈ ਚੰਦਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਹੁਣ ਤਕ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ $27,000 ਡਾਲਰ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਲਚਰਲ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਤ ਸੌ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਸ ਪਿਛਲਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਚ ਤੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਬਲਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲ਼ੀ, ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਵੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਰਾਇਲ ਚਿਲਡਰਨ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਈ ਚੰਦਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ $27,000 ਡਾਲਰ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਰਕਮ ਦਾ ਚੈੱਕ 31 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਲਚਰਲ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ $94,375 ਰਾਇਲ ਚਿਲਡਰਨ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ।
ਰਾਇਲ ਚਿਲਡਰਨ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੇ ਨਿਊਨੇਟਲ ਮੈਡੀਸਨ ਦੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਰੌਡ ਹੰਟ ਨੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਕਟੋਰੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਰਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਲਚਰਲ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਓਂਕਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਇਸ ਫੰਡਰੇਜ਼ਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਇਆ।

New Zealand Australia Punjabi Cultural Association (NZAPCA) is a community organisation committed to contribute towards the progress of the Punjabi community residing in Australia and New Zealand.
NZAPCA has recently celebrated its 8th annual event 'Sanjh Punjab Dee', which was attended by over 800 members of the Punjabi community-based in Melbourne.
A celebration of Punjabi culture, the NZAPCA’s annual dinner event has also become a way to give back to the local community.
After the most recent fundraiser, the organisation was able to donate $27,000 to the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, Melbourne on 31 October 2018.
Raised during their annual dinner, the donations have previously helped sponsor cots in the RCH Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
So far, the association has donated $94,375 in the last five years to support Victoria’s sickest children.

Professor Rod Hunt, Director of the Neonatal Medicine at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne has thanked NZAPCA for their continuous support.
“On behalf of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, I would just like to add my thanks for your amazing efforts in the fundraising space,” said Dr. Hunt.
“I know that the babies who require our care, and their families, are deeply indebted as well.
“The money you have raised will continue to be invested in the purchase of key pieces of equipment that make our work possible, as well as investment into the development of staff who provide the care.
“Thank you so much. Your efforts are truly wonderful.”

Onkar Singh, President, NZAPCA has thanked community members who contributed towards the fundraiser.
"We’re very happy to contribute as it’s our way to give back to the community,” said Mr Singh.
“This was one of the biggest that we have seen in past. We raised $27,000 through the fundraiser that was organised to support the Royal Children Hospital.”
“We are making these donations from last many years and we’ll keep doing it with the support of the local community and visitors who attend our annual event.”
NZAPCA was formed in 2011 by a small group of Punjabi families from New Zealand and Australia
What started out as an informal network drawn together by common interest and a shared love of culture, has now grown to a vibrant association committed to sharing and celebrating Punjabi heritage through cultural exchange and active community participation.
