Due to the extraordinary landing of the Uiver in 1934 in Albury (VIC), the local community has a special relationship with the Netherlands. The Uiver Memorial Community Trust is committed to preserving this piece of shared history. A group of volunteers is currently restoring an original DC 2 aircraft, the same type as the Uiver. We spoke to Pieter Mol, president of the trust, to learn more about this special project.
