The artists of Eurovision 2017: Artsvik – “Fly With Me” (Armenia)

She came to prominence on the Russian version of 'The Voice' and now 33-year-old Artsvik is hoping to impress an even greater TV audience.

How does the saying go… save the best till last? Although we’ve known since late December that Artsvik would be representing her home nation, her song “Fly With Me” was the last to be revealed and completed the line-up of entries for the 2017 contest.

Artsvik was a convincing winner at the Armenian national selection show, Depi Evratesil, securing over 70 percent of the vote - and there’s good reason for that. Incredibly popular in native Armenia, Artsvik came to public attention in 2013 as a contestant on the Russian version of The Voice and has since become well known across many ex-Soviet countries.

Reminiscent of Regina Spektor, “Fly With Me” successfully infuses ethnic elements into an accessible pop song and should continue Armenia’s excellent qualification history.
