Patriot Brains

Nothing is as light (and yet enlightening and educational) as a comedy quiz show. British comedy legend Sue Perkins takes over hosting duties from Bill Bailey in season 2 of a trans-Tasman battle between Australia and New Zealand, with each country's greatest comedians pitted against each other to find out who knows their country best, with our host the only thing keeping them apart. Each week, teams will be put to the test, answering questions on a variety of topics, such as, who has the best road movie, and who's got the most confusing outdated law still in effect? The show challenges our rivalries and celebrates our differences. Or to put it another way: Each week, one team will prove they know the most about their own country, and the other will be named and shamed as the most uneducated patriots.

Patriot Brains seasons 1 now streaming at  season 2 begins 14 June at 8:30PM on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand with new episodes weekly.

Alone

Ten hardcore survivalists alone in the Patagonian wilderness – no camera crew, no teams, no producers – on a single mission to stay alive. At stake is $500,000 for the person who can last the longest. However, unlike genre progenitor Survivor, whose DNA is all through this thing, these guys are really, as the title indicates, alone; each contestant is in their own patch of wilderness and self-recording their efforts to live in the wild (everyone has a satellite phone they can use to call for evacuation). It’s a tough gig; competitors regularly lose around 30 per cent of their body mass due to low caloric intake, and medical evacuations are common.
