Today (January 17 in the US) marks Michelle Obama's birthday.

The First Lady of our hearts turns 55, with her husband Barack Obama posting a cute throwback photo to celebrate.

"I knew it back then, and I'm absolutely convinced of it today -- you're one of a kind," the former US president posted in a gushing Instagram post.
Beyoncé got in early with a tribute to the former FLOTUS, a photo of Obama as a little girl with the words bow down written over the image. It was a tribute from one queen to another, which no doubt had Beyoncé’s bey hive buzzing.
The woman herself posted a response to the well wishes. “Thank you all so much for the birthday love,” Obama tweeted. “Feeling so incredibly thankful for my South Side roots, my soul-affirming partner and daughters and every unimaginable twist and turn over these  55 years.”
