Defined by its cobbled climbs, the 2022 Tour of Flanders is once again set to deliver on a reputation as one of the biggest events on the cycling calendar.
Antwerp will be the start point as the men take on a gruelling 273km route, while the Women’s race will take in a 158.5km route.
A total of 17 brutal climbs mark the looping route around Oudenaard, featuring five cobbled sections, with the Paterburg climb marking the final punishing ascent the day before a flat last 13km to the finish.

The men’s race will pit superstars Wout van Aert and Mathieu van der Poel head to head, while two time Tour de France champion Tadej Pogacar will be looking to add this monument to his rapidly growing list of titles.
Annemiek Van Vleuten was too strong last year, flying up the Paterburg climb with a blistering attack to win the 2021 Women’s Tour of Flanders.
The Movistar rider will be out to make history this year as she sets out to become the first female rider to win three times at De Ronde.
Looking to stop her will be Dutch compatriot Marianne Vos and Movistar teammate Emma Norsgard.
Michael Matthews leads the Aussie hopefuls with Luke Durbridge and Alex Edmondson alongside him at Team BikeExchange-Jayco. Veteran Heinrich Haussler is also expected to line up for Bahrain-Victorious.
There will also be a strong contingent of Australian riders in the Women’s race with Tiffany Cromwell and Sarah Roy riding for Canyon SRAM Racing, Grace Brown and Brodie Chapman lining up for FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitane Futuroscope, while Amanda Spratt and Georgia Baker will be in action for Aussie outfit Team BikeExchange-Jayco.
SBS On Demand will have the early action from the men’s race from 5:55pm (AEST) on SBS on Demand before the coverage starts on SBS VICELAND at 8pm (AEST).
The Women’s Tour of Flanders gets underway at 11pm (AEDT) on SBS On Demand, before the coverage starts on SBS VICELAND in the very early hours of Monday morning at 12:45am (AEST).
