Breakers sign Danish guard Bach to complete roster

NZ Breakers have signed Denmark international Rasmus Bach on a two-year deal.

Every game of the upcoming 2020-21 NBL season will again be LIVE, FREE and in HD via SBS On Demand, with select games also live on SBS VICELAND.

The capture of Bach completes the Breakers' roster for the 2021 NBL season.

The shooting guard, who grew up partly in Australia and holds an Aussie passport, joins from Danish club Randers Cimbria who were on a 19-4 run before COVID disrupted the season.

He averaged 12.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists for that season.
Bach, currently in Melbourne quarantine, was an NBL fan as a child.

“Growing up in Australia, the NBL was the league I watched, and the first NBL games I ever went to was the Brisbane Bullets against the Breakers in 2008,” the 25-year-old said.

“Even though I moved to America as a 12-year-old, I kept my eye on the NBL and would always watch the games.

“I always dreamed of coming to the NBL, and I’m super thankful to the Breakers and the organisation for giving me this opportunity.

“I’m all about winning.  Whatever the coach and team want me to do, I’m willing to do.”
