A Matthew Wade half-century and five wickets to a second-game seamer have Tasmania on top of Queensland on a day of Sheffield Shield carnage in Hobart.
The former Test wicketkeeper top-scored with 63 in the Tigers' first innings of 167 on a day when 18 wickets fell.
Queensland crumbled to 8-86 in reply at stumps on Friday, with rookie paceman Alex Pyecroft taking a stunning 5-18.
Test-experienced Bulls, Matthew Renshaw, Joe Burns and Marnus Labuschagne, all made starts but failed on a Bellerive Oval deck with a bit of life.
Wade, however, hit nine fours to top the Shield run-scorers (531) in 2018/19 with five 50s and a century.
He turned aggressor with the tail, with the Tigers bowled out on the stoke of tea after Gabe Bell and Riley Meredith put on a valuable 37 runs for the final wicket.
After his fellow quicks cracked Queensland's top three, Pyecroft, who debuted last match against South Australia, ripped through the middle order.
He took his five scalps in the space of 10 overs, all edging behind the wicket.
"The length he bowls on this wicket suits it perfectly," Wade said.
"He got the ball up there and gave it a chance to move sideways and got the rewards. He definitely got us back in the game."
Earlier, Queensland were on the front foot after sending the Tigers in to bat.
Michael Neser and Mark Steketee picked up three wickets, while wicketkeeper Jimmy Peirson took six catches for the innings.
Neser is unbeaten on 17 alongside Mitchell Swepson (four not out) with the Bulls still trailing by 81 runs.
The fourth-placed Tigers and fifth-placed Bulls are both after a win to stay in contention for a top-two spot.
