Malcolm Turnbull says Donald Trump's revised executive order on immigration won't impact on the refugee deal with Australia.

The US president has issued a new order suspending his country's refugee program for 120 days and banning tourist, immigration and most other entries from six countries for 90 days: Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

Asked whether it would impact on the deal for the US to take refugees from the Manus Island and Nauru detention centres, the prime minister told reporters in Jakarta: "No, the president has agreed to honour, continue with, the arrangements entered into with his predecessor."
