Information is being reported on how the avian influenza A H5 N1 avian influenza virus is evolving day by day. Scientists around the world are currently engaged in research on how this disease evolves and the severe impact that the disease can have on humans. The first transmission of the virus from a mammal to a human occurred in the United States last April. There have been no reports of this bird flu virus in Australia yet.
