Police in the US is offering a reward for information about the double murder of Indian-origin mother and son who were found shot dead at their home on Wednesday.

Mala Manwani (65) and her 32-year-old son Rishi were found dead in their suburban home in Washington DC  on 31st January after a colleague of Mrs Manwani reporter her absence at work last week.

Police visited the house at 2 pm (local time) and found the dead bodies with multiple gunshot wounds, in what is believed to be a “targeted” crime.

“Both died of multiple gunshot wounds. We suspect this was related to a potentially criminal activity,” the Loudon County Sheriff said. He said there were no signs of a forced entry.

Police haven’t released information on the time of the death of the victims and haven’t yet said whether one or more suspects were involved.

In a statement, the Loudoun County Sheriff Office said it is asking anyone with information possibly related to the double homicide of a mother and son and wishing to remain anonymous to contact Loudoun Crime Solvers.
