Sikhs in many parts of the world have been facing attacks due to their the way they appear. The worst attacks came in the aftermath of September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade centre in New York, US. Another wave of such attacks has returned in the US following the Paris attack and San Bernadino shooting.
Many say Sikhs, due to their turbans and long beards, are often confused with Islamists. However, a Sikh American posted on Facebook a response to those targeting Sikhs because of their appearance. In his post that has gone viral, Harmeet has explained the values of the Sikh faith. The internet has applauded the post that has been liked and shared thousands of times.
