Being a baby is not easy and often really tiring for both the baby and parents.

Two Indian origin sisters based in Perth, Western Australia, have come-up with a unique small business solution for both the baby and parents.

Kavita Kumar and Anita Yap have opened a in Perth.

This is first of its kind Baby Spa in Australia.

Laura Sevenus, author of ‘Practically Swimming‘, established the world’s first Baby Spa in London. 

Kavita who holds a degree in Health Promotion and Children and Family Development from London while working on infant hydrotherapy at Baby Spa London also completed a course at Laura’s institute in Infant Massage.

Her sister, Anita is a new mother who has recently gave birth of her son Xavier.

She is a small business owner with over 10 years’ experience in female brow sculpturing and massage.

She studied at the WA institute of Beauty and Massage Therapy.

It was in 2005 that Anita started on her own small business journey.

Her goal was to establish her own business delivering the benefits of massage.

During her pregnancy she had a realisation that involved using her qualification as a massage instructor for infants.

She brings in almost a decade of experience working in the health sector both in Australia and the UK to this small business.

The babies can be seen kicking around in the water.

This helps to improve their balance and coordination and the rocking will continue with his/her rhythmic breathing.

A session is one hour approx. and usually depends on the baby’s reaction, experience, tolerance and strength in the water.

Baby massages with pure oils or ghee is an integral part of Indian and Asian culture.
