Victoria has removed two occupations from state’s Visa Nomination Occupation Lists.

Victoria’s skilled migration program seeks to attract highly skilled and employable professionals and tradespeople with occupations that are difficult to source from the local labour market.

Victoria has removed two occupations from state’s Visa Nomination Occupation Lists.

This comes just days after they temporarily stopped accepting fresh applications for skilled visa nominations of specific ICT Professions.

Now, following two occupations have been removed from the Victorian Visa Nomination Occupation Lists:

234411 Geologist
234412 Geophysicist

Applications will close for these occupations on 31 December 2016.

Due to a large volume of skilled visa nomination applications received, applications for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) by the state of Victoria.

Applications for certain ICT occupations will not be accepted by Victoria from 11 November 2016 to 6 March 2017.

The closure will be for a period of four months, however further updates will be provided should this be extended.
