An Indian-origin net bowler was struck in the head by David Warner's fierce shot during a practice session at The Oval in London on Saturday.
Jai Kishan Plaha dropped to the ground and had to be taken to hospital after being struck on the forehead by a powerful drive shot from David Warner.
The visibly concerned team halted the net session as the bowler was wheeled out of the ground.
David Warner was left visibly shaken after the incident who was comforted by the assistant coach Ricky Ponting.
Plaha underwent a CT scan and was given the all clear after showing no signs of delayed concussion.
The player later shared a post on social media from the hospital saying, "I will be back! Road to recovery begins."
Australian captain Aaron Finch later said David Warner was “pretty shaken up” after the incident.

"Dave is obviously pretty shaken up. The young guy is in pretty good spirits at the moment. He has obviously been taken to the hospital to be assessed that everything is OK," Finch .
In 2014, Warner was playing in the Sheffield Shield match in which his friend Phillip Hughes was fatally hit in the neck by a bouncer while batting. Hughes underwent emergency surgery but died two days later, three days before his 26th birthday.
India faces Australia for their second World Cup game on Sunday evening at The Oval in London.
