This month, a 40-year-old man from New South Wales in tropical northern Australia was killed by an almost five-meter tall saltwater crocodile. The holidaymaker had fallen into the river after a path broke in on the shore and he slid into the water. The tragic case is yet another reminder that tourists should be careful in northern Australia.
